In LEGO Fortnite Brick Life, Brick Bay isn’t just a metropolis. It’s a community. The friendly minifigures you’ll meet and befriend are just as much an important part of the city as iconic locations like Harmonious Hall, Durrr Burger and Mourndale Academy. The way they act on their own and the way you interact with them transforms Brick Bay from a series of brick-built locations into a world that plays with you as you play inside of it.

In this story, we’ll show you how playing with others works in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life.

An open world

Playing LEGO Fortnite Brick Life is best with a community of friends and players who cooperate to explore, overcome challenges, and even play together in events like races. That’s why LEGO Fortnite Brick Life supports up to 32 players simultaneously in one world. And you can invite your friends to join you and play the game alongside you. Some of the minifigures you’ll meet in Brick Bay are other players in the same game session with you and others are non-playable characters you might already know, like Meowscles, the always-buff proprietor of MeowSwole’s Gym. This bustling community helps take the game’s immersiveness to another level, and you can see who’s playing in your current version of Brick Bay by opening your smartphone and navigating to the Residents menu.

Playing together

Once you’re in a LEGO Fortnite Brick Life game, your options are nearly limitless. You can explore the world together.

For those who’d like a little direction during their day, Brick Bay offers cooperative and competitive events. For example, every so often, you’ll receive a text saying that a race is about to begin, and if you want to join, you should meet at a certain location. Driving around is a great way not just to compete but to potentially make some Creds and familiarize yourself with the city by way of some friendly competition. Or you could just head to the beach and kick a beachball around. It’s up to you!

LEGO Fortnite Brick Life empowers players to follow their creativity, their passion and their imagination all in a safe and secure environment. As the minifigures who welcome you into each gameplay session say, this is a place to make friends and be friendly. The rest really is up to every player, very much including you. Socializing in Brick Bay

As you get to know the city, you'll meet new LEGO faces as well as other players. Say hello to those you meet who are out and about using text chat. You can choose who you chat with in Fortnite’s Settings. Younger players with Cabined Accounts can still play LEGO Fortnite Brick Life but are unable to access chat.

You can also interact using any Emotes or Jam Tracks (including the use of Jam Loops — a first for LEGO Fortnite!) in your Locker, providing they are compatible with the LEGO Fortnite universe.

Epic Games and the LEGO Group both expect everyone to play responsibly and follow the rules, which means there is no room for offensive content in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life worlds. If players see something inappropriate in a text chat, for example, we encourage them to report it using the easy-to-use reporting tools, available right in the text chat.
