How to Get Knotroot and Flexwood in LEGO® Fortnite®

LEGO® Fortnite® is a game about surviving, doing the hard work, gathering the resources, and building the right tools so that you and your minifigure friends can thrive in a big, beautiful world.

In this LEGO Fortnite story, we’ll tell you how to find and gather two of the most important resources in the game, Knotroot and Flexwood, so that you can become stronger and explore more of the worlds you create.

How resources work in LEGO Fortnite

From your first moments in LEGO Fortnite — especially in a Survival world — you need to gather resources and use those resources to help you survive. For example, to build a Campfire, you just need a few pieces of Wood. That’ll help you see and keep you warm at night.

As you continue to play LEGO Fortnite, you’ll become more powerful and more capable of exploring and surviving. You collect better resources to build better things and explore more interesting places. That’s the basic loop of this survival-crafting game. And while Wood will always be an important basic resource, you’ll also discover more resources that are more important and help you get stronger and better.

That’s effectively what Knotroot and Flexwood are — better kinds of Wood that allow you to build stronger, more capable items. The path to those resources is long and dangerous, but don’t worry. We’ve got your back.

How to get Knotroot

You’ll need an Uncommon Crafting Bench to make an Uncommon Pickaxe, and for that, you’ll need 8 Planks from a Lumber Mill and 3 Shells from the crab-like Roller enemies.

It’s a little bit unconventional, but you can also mine Marble with Dynamite. To make some, you’ll need the same Uncommon Crafting Bench that you need to make the Uncommon Pickaxe. You’ll also need 1 Blast Powder and 3 Knotroot Rods to make Dynamite. Blast Powder is often a reward for defeating Skeletons who hang out in Dry Valley and Shores biomes.

How to find Marble

OK. Now you’re ready to get Marble.

Make sure that you have room for the Marble in your inventory. Don’t show up with full pockets!

If you’ve already found a Cave, you’ll see it on your map. If you need to find a Cave, head up to the top of a hill and look around for large, gray rocks – we like to think of them as boulders.

Enter the Cave, and look for large, white rocks embedded in the walls and ceilings. That’s Marble. Hit it with your Uncommon Pickaxe, and after a few hits, it’ll burst into a collectible resource.

Building with Marble

You can use Marble to create all kinds of things in LEGO Fortnite.

With 25 Knotroot and 35 Marble, you can make the Stone Breaker, which refines stones into even more useful forms. For example, it can turn Marble into Marble Slabs.

With 8 Marble Slabs, 8 Planks, and 5 Knotroot Rods, you can make a Juicer and create powerful drinks for your character.

That’s how to find Marble, a powerful new kind of stone that unlocks powerful new builds in LEGO Fortnite. Happy mining!
