How to get Lightsabers in LEGO® Fortnite®

As Obi-Wan Kenobi taught Luke Skywalker, the Lightsaber is an elegant weapon for a more civilized age. It’s also an awesome laser sword available now in LEGO Fortnite!  

The Star Wars™-themed LEGO Fortnite update that landed in May 2024 brought oodles of weapons, styles, and decorations to the game. And perhaps none is more iconic than the Lightsaber. You’ll need to do some work before you can wield one, though. And in this LEGO Fortnite story, we’ll show you how to get every Lightsaber.

Macrobinoculars and the Rebel Outpost

LEGO Fortnite’s Star Wars content begins with a bang when a massive Imperial Star Destroyer enters the airspace over your island.  

Shortly thereafter, you’ll meet a Rebel hero called Captain Bravara. Speak with her, convince her that you’re on the side of light, and she’ll give you a pair of Macrobinoculars, which are basically binoculars from a galaxy far, far away. Use them to find a special Cave denoted by the blue glow of the Rebel Alliance symbol. Head through, and on the other side, you’ll be on a Star Wars-themed island.  

Use your Macrobinoculars again to find the nearby Rebel Outpost, which is the equivalent of your Village on this island.

Level up the Rebel Outpost

When you get to the Rebel Outpost, you’ll see that Captain Bravara beat you there. Strike up another conversation, and she’ll put you to work. This is your path to unlocking the Lightsaber.  

Your Rebel Outpost is just getting started, and your hard work will make it better and give the Rebels the advantage they need.  

Captain Bravara is a good host, and she’s great at explaining what you need to do if you ever find yourself confused.

How to use the Lightsaber

Lightsabers are powerful weapons in LEGO Fortnite, but they require energy to use. The little glowing bar at the bottom of the Lightsaber’s icon shows its power. Every time you use the Lightsaber, you use some of its power. When the power drains, it takes several minutes to recharge before you can use your Lightsaber again.

Get more Lightsabers in Imperial Bunkers

Remember the first time you met Captain Bravara, and she gave you Macrobinoculars? On your Star Wars™ island, your Macrobinoculars will show you the location of Imperial Bunkers. They’re basically this island’s version of Caves, and they’re filled with the galactic forces of evil.  

There are tough fights ahead, but your reward is great.Each Imperial Bunker has multiple areas.

You must defeat the enemies in one area to access the next, which is protected by big, red ray shields.

Make your way to the end, defeat all the enemies, and you’ll gain access to a room filled with chests. The biggest, most tantalizing chest will contain another Lightsaber.  

Now you can keep defeating Imperials and keep collecting Lightsabers. To collect them all, you need a blue, green and red one. May the Force be with you!
