Ilkka Paananen

Ilkka Paananen became a member of the LEGO A/S Board of Directors in April 2024.

Ilkka is the CEO and co-founder of Supercell, the Finnish games company behind hit games such as Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, and Brawl Stars. Supercell was the first European tech startup to reach a valuation of $10 billion.

In addition to his role at Supercell, Ilkka helps other entrepreneurs as both an investor and as a mentor through his founder office called Illusian.

He has also co-founded We Foundation, which builds social impact measurement platforms and tools for organisations working with children and families, and serves on the board of Zwift, the fitness company born from gaming.

He holds a Master of Science from Helsinki University of Technology.
