The environment, today and tomorrow

We know a more sustainable future is possible. We believe in human potential. And we’re ready to take on the challenges of sustainability with creativity and optimism.

We invest in more sustainable materials, explore how to make our business more circular, improve energy efficiency, expand on-site renewable energy production and secure a supply of renewable energy for our factories, offices and stores.

Reducing our environmental impact

Our targets and climate action

We aim to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from making and selling LEGO® bricks across our factories, offices and stores, and in our supply chain. We are working towards our science-based emissions reduction target to reduce our absolute GHG emissions by 37% by 2032, compared to 2019. To engage colleagues in achieving our 2032 target, we’ve introduced an annual key performance indicator which sets a yearly emissions target. We believe all employees can play a part in meeting our goals, so from 2024 a percentage of our performance management programme for all salaried colleagues' bonuses will be tied to annual emissions.
