How to Find the LEGO® Fortnite® Star Destroyer

Finding the LEGO® Fortnite® Star Destroyer

LEGO® Fortnite® amazing Star Wars™ update begins with a bang — literally!

Up in the sky above everyone’s island, a rift in the multiverse appears; a sound like thunder reverberates across the land, and through the rift comes an enormous and foreboding Imperial Star Destroyer™.

Lucky for you and the Rebel Alliance, it’s less than fully operational. Smoke trails plumes that spurt out of its hull. Explosions rock the ship, and it heads down, down, down. Somewhere over the horizon, the Star Destroyer makes an unscheduled landing.

Surprise! A galaxy far, far away has invaded your LEGO Fortnite game! In this story, we’ll show you how to find the Star Destroyer and help you prepare for your adventure.

Finding the Star Destroyer

You could technically head straight to the crash site from the moment you see it, but you certainly don’t have to. It’ll be a bit more difficult to find, given that you don’t have a massive, flaming spaceship to follow.

To find it again, you need to find a gigantic plume of smoke. In LEGO Fortnite, smoke usually indicates a Village or campfire. This will be like that, but way bigger.

You can see the Star Destroyer crash site from your original island, but that’s a super difficult journey. It’s much easier (and it makes more sense when you think about it!) to access from your Star Wars island.

If you’re not already on your Star Wars island, equip the Macrobinoculars that Captain Bravara gave you and head to the cave that leads there.

Climb to the highest point you can find and scan the horizon. Don’t worry. You’ll be able to see it from far, far away.

Preparing for the cold

The Star Destroyer crash site is located in the cold Frostlands biome. You’re going to need some protection, and you have some choices to make.

On the food side, you have two options.

  • Spicy Peppers, which you can find growing on bushes in the Dry Valley and Shore biomes. Eating one will give you two minutes of Cold Resistance.
  • Spicy Burger, which you make at a Grill with 1 Flour, 1 Meat and 1 Spicy Pepper. Eating one will give you 10 minutes of Cold Resistance.

On the Charms side, you also have two options for constant Cold Resistance.

  • Rare Inner Fire Charm, which requires 3 Blast Core, 8 Brightcore, 5 Cut Ruby, and 3 Wool Thread
  • Epic Inner Fire Charm, which requires 10 Blast Core, 30 Brightcore, 1 Frost Brute Scale, and 3 Heavy Wool Thread

You’ll also face a lot of resistance from the Imperials, so you should bring the best weapons and shields that you can.

Following the progression path at your Rebel Outpost will reward you with some great Star Wars weapons, including the Lightsaber! When you reach Level 6, you’ll also get the Clearance Code and be able to infiltrate Imperial Bunkers.

Exploring the Star Destroyer

Now, it’s just a matter of locating that big, black plume of smoke rising in the distance and heading in that direction. It’ll be easier to keep track of where you’re going if you make a Compass and a Spyglass, both of which we cover in our guide to getting LEGO Fortnite Glass.

You can set out on foot. You can bring your friends. You can build the vehicles that arrived with LEGO Fortnite’s Mechanical Mayhem update. The choice is yours. Now, take the fight to the Imperials!
