  Grab your bricks

  

  Make sure you and your friends have got all the car parts you might need: wheels, tires, axles, steering wheels, windscreens and so on.

  Start making your vehicles

  

  First build the base of your car and attach the wheels. Then build up. Think about how the air will travel over it as you're building...

  Test as you go

  

  Try blowing on your car as you’re building it. What can you do to make it move less when you blow on it? Make it lower? Make the front or back wheels bigger or smaller? Use slopes and curves instead of bricks?

  Time to get into the wind tunnel!

  

  Each car spends ten seconds in the wind tunnel. That could mean putting it in front of a desk fan or a blow dryer, or it might mean you and your family blowing on each other’s cars as hard as you can.

  Who is the champion?

  

  The winning car is the one that rolls back the least. Now have a think together. Why did that car win? What was special about it?
