With 3929 pieces, the Bucket Wheel Excavator is one of the biggest Technic sets we’ve ever produced. The set is a very complex one and if it's not built as shown in the instructions, it might not work the way it should.

The most important thing to look out for when building the Excavator is that you make sure not to attach the gears too tightly. They need a bit of space to be able to move around, so be careful not to build them in such a way that they can’t move.

Since the set is so large, it doesn’t move very quickly. If you switch the motors on and notice the set’s moving quite slowly, that’s normal –it’s too big and heavy to move as quickly as a racecar!
