Who designed it and where they were built?  It all happens in the LEGO Retail Model Production Factory in Kladno where we cover the whole process of creating 3D LEGO Models from A to Z and right now, we have an opening in the team where all the great ideas come from - our design team! Core responsibilities

  • Prepare a strong design concept of 3D LEGO Models/platforms including a digital layer based on our customer wishes

  • Takes the natural lead role and facilitates brainstorms/workshops to ensure creative progression and leads the team to strongest solution

  • Suggest, design and develop the overall marketing material (sketches, graphics, 3D prototype models, digital layer) for different marketing campaigns and novelties; work closely with our project management team and our partners on bringing the best ideas to the table and to life

  • Lead our internal and external designers, motivate them, support them and create the set up in which they can thrive

  • Work closely with our suppliers and other LEGO Retail teams during the development of our 3D models, digital technology connected to them, and other supporting marketing materials

  • Be a reliable partner to colleagues from other teams within the Model Production Factory (Project Management, Engineering, Production), give them support and help them overcome practical obstacles connected to the process of bringing the design to an actual 3D LEGO Model

Retail Model Production is the team that delivers the WOW by creating all unique LEGO models and sculptures to boost the sales of LEGO sets globally. Imagine that this team can create entire LEGOLAND Park and even more! Specifically, Design, Development and Engineering team is the bridge between concept idea and realization when it comes to brick based, building happenings and permanent instore solutions.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Strong background in design or related

  • Fluent English and advanced Czech

  • An outstanding presenter of work, strong experience with client-facing creative delivery and effective communication and influencing skills

  • Long-term designer experience and knowledge of most recent design trends

  • Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking successfully used in a professional career

  • Ability to lead and motivate others via indirect leadership

  • Knowledge of 3D and graphic programs (Maya, Adobe suite etc.)

  • Knowledge of LEGO sets / elements is a big plus

  • Experience working with various functions (engineering, design, marketing etc.)
