Egg-and-spoon race with LEGO® bricks

4.2
Minifigures playing the egg-and-spoon race game

Steps

  • Step 1

    Grab some bricks and eggs

A pile of bricks with an egg on top of it and two minifigures

Make sure everyone’s got some long bricks or plates, you’ll be needing them for the spoon handles. And ask a grown-up to boil the eggs before you race with them – we don’t want those eggs scrambled!

  • Step 2

    Make the spoon handle

Two minifigures building the spoon handle

If you can, use one long plate or brick. But if you haven’t got any pieces long enough for that, use overlapping plates instead. (And make sure you lock those pieces together tightly.)

  • Step 3

Make the end of the spoon

Two minifigures building the bowl part at the end of the spoon

Think about how the egg will stay on the spoon. Top tip: Try using big and overlapping pieces.

  • Step 4

Take your eggs outside and race

Two minifigures carrying a LEGO spoon with an egg in it

Don’t worry if you drop your egg, just stop, pick it up again, and keep going.
