Job Description

Are you a digital content and commerce / retail Agency leader? Are you passionate about providing magical content and experiences to our global consumers through Our LEGO Agency?

We are looking for a natural innovator and a commerce, digital expert to step into our exciting Vice President for Commerce & Digital role! You will add some magic to our content model, so we can both reach and entertain even more kids and grown-up kids with our wonderful stories, products and experiences, in the most impactful way for the modern media world. 

This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned digital & commerce agency leader with deep strategic and operational experience, to drive the organisation wide ambition for world class digital and commerce content and experiences for the LEGO Brand. 

You will be highly qualified and credible in digital content and new media and will help us achieve our articulated marketing transformation goals for the content model, with an emphasis on; retail, shopper (ie. Commerce) and digital / data driven content. You will partner closely with the new global marketing Markets & Channels organisation, as well as our Product Marketing Development (PMD) organisation, and bring your deep digital and retail/commerce content expertise to the LEGO Agency's leadership team. 

Core responsibilities: 

  • Lead the newly created and expanded Commerce team in OLA (Our LEGO Agency) globally 

  • Lead the development of our commerce content including shopper communication, retail channels branded and 3rd party (including .com and bricks and mortar), e-commerce, BDLR (building direct and long-lasting relationships) and CRM/membership 

  • Team leadership of up to 100 people (approx.) in OLA across Denmark, Singapore, Boston and London 

  • Thought leadership across the MVC, with a focus on digital content, e-commerce, retail experience and data driven dynamic content 

  • Be the expert in the agency leadership team for digital content strategy and operations including technology enablement and act as an inspiring leader who can upskill OLA in this space 

  • Marketing transformation- give major contribution to both the short and long-term visions for content models in partnership with other leaders 

  • Responsible for implementing the dynamic, data driven content model within OLA 

  • Consolidate and build an extraordinary creative commerce operation within OLA that has digital at the centre and concept to consumer globally, in multiple locations (aka OLA Commerce) 

  • Act as a senior partner, building a great relationship with the commercial organisation, including leaders in the LEGO Retail world 

Do you have what it takes? 

  • A proven digital content & commerce/retail Agency leader and or brand practitioner with very deep experience leading all disciplines and teams, including end to end strategy, creative and production 

  • An innovator who is very strong both strategically and operationally – having lead large, integrated teams producing excellent creative work 

  • A deep knowledge and experience with digital platforms and technology (DACM) including social. May include but not limited to Google Ads, CRM software, email marketing software, social media platforms YT, Tik Tok 

  • Led digital content transformations and operations for a brand / business 

  • Have a passion for creativity and creative solutions and have built great partnerships with creative leaders 

  • Inclusive by nature and believe that diversity is a superpower 

  • Experience presenting to and influencing senior leaders with transformative ideas and processes 

  • Experience with agency financial and cost management 

Nice to have: 

  • AI / automation experience 

  • Global vs specific market 

  • Media or platform experience 

  • DACM platforms and implementation of new systems
