Job Description

We are seeking a digital leader, energised to play a key role in developing ecommerce channel strategy and further strengthening digital skills, capabilities and infrastructure for one of our core Market Groups.

As Vice President, B2B Ecommerce for the Western Europe (WEU) Market Group, you will lead a team of highly skilled regional eCommerce experts. This role is important in helping us achieve our future growth plans by lifting our e-commerce strategies and execution with our B2B customers.


Accountable for the execution of digital/eCommerce-related activities within the region and responsible for the digital shopper team’s development, you will play an important role in building up commercial capabilities in this space.

You will lead all aspects of The LEGO Groups’ business with Amazon EU; our biggest and most strategic partner in the region. Together with the global eCommerce Centre of Excellence, you will design, run and optimise digital shopper funnel to support the marketing strategy defined with our regional marketing team to drive commercial results. You will work closely with our global Product and Marketing Development organisation and the dedicated LEGO Agency who will support you with eCommerce-focused product and campaign content, as well as assortment and packaging development. Additionally, this role partners with our Digital Product organisation and Data Office to ensure the needs of B2B eCommerce are reflected in the Company Digital Product and Data roadmaps.


Enabling your team and the larger regional commercial organisation by innovating our digital shopper strategy and ecommerce execution, you will generate impact and value for our customers and shoppers. This will include effective management to achieve target critical metrics, leading strategic projects, and prioritising top initiatives within an agile working environment.


This position will report into our Regional President for Western Europe and will sit on the WEU Leadership Team.


Core responsibilities

  • Champion regional way of working with your Western Europe peers and successfully lead a cross-functional digital shopper team who work in an agile context!

  • Develop and inspire a team with responsibility for commercial development, digital platform and customer site-based performance marketing, digital merchandising, retail activation and regional customer (Amazon) interface

  • Accountability for key regional eCommerce customer (Amazon) performance, delivery of commercial targets and handling performance and budget trade-offs

  • Cultivate and further develop the relationship with Amazon (both retail and ads) thinking of new and creative ways to grow a mutually beneficial partnership

  • Input into global channel and digital shopper strategy and translate global plans into high impact regional eCommerce strategy and execution

  • Lead all aspects of regional eCommerce and shopper digital budgets in the market group, while delivering commercial and shopper metrics

  • Support eCommerce teams in local BUs to ensure that they are enabled with eCommerce strategy, investment, resource, technology and tools to deliver outstanding eCommerce execution with all of our B2B Pure Play and Omni Channel customers

  • Empower, grow, and retain eCommerce talent by building a strong and collaborative work environment


DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

  • Significant experience within organisations digitally focused on eCommerce sales, merchandising, and marketing for a global brand.

  • Experience in both eCommerce strategy and execution, including content, search, performance marketing, analytics, and marketing technology.

  • Expertise with business analysis and critical metric tracking within online environment.

  • Significant experience in global and/or regional project management and implementation, including with remote teams.

  • Proven track record of inspiring teams to thrive within Agile ways of working and a test and learn culture

  • Significant experience working with C-Level executives
