Core responsibilities
As Sr. Fandom Marketing Manager for a new LEGO® franchise, you will be part of our global toy development business and an integrated team member of our global marketing team. You will work on developing, optimizing and taking to market a new physical brick-built toy line with special focus on evolving its community experience.
Make a world-spanning social play movement
Create, brief, and implement the global fandom strategy to generate and power up social play and community engagement focusing on live fandom and physical events:
Drive consumer sales and engagement growth through real time understanding of our audiences and connecting combined fandoms (cross-over of Partner IP and LEGO fandoms)
Create and drive the strategy for fixed, flex and reactive brand and commercial marketing - then evolve these in real-time in response to emerging consumers response, iterating rapidly to boost performance in market.
Translate fandom into physical social events, online community engagement, product marketing ideas, and product updates which engage players long-term.
Translates live data into reactive real time marketing actions, fostering social engagement and fandom development.
Support transformation of the LEGO Group’s Go-To-Market thinking and unlocking the power of social play and community engagement.
Be a key innovation driver
Own the development and execution of the very first LEGO® franchise Fandom strategy , anchored in global thinking and powerful local executions. Pilot new thinking and solutions that will make this new LEGO® franchise and LEGO® toys pioneers in social and community play.
Step change internal LEGO processes and thinking to allow for first in class innovative real time marketing and community engagement plans for social play.
Drive impactful change in ways of working, ensuring effective and disruptive execution globally and in markets.
Show thought leadership
Play an active role in the Global Product and Marketing team during key meetings and leadership forums across the year, including relevant presentations to internal and external forums and key senior leadership management.
Alongside with the product Marketing Lead, you will be the functional leader that drives the agenda, inspiring and coordinating the goals and outputs of a direct and indirect team
Show great indirect leadership, co-creating with and influencing relevant internal stakeholders like channel owners or brand departments.
Be the leader and orchestrator of a powerful brand experience
Collaborate to rapidly turn market listening into strong consumer insights - then innovative and build powerful social play
In cooperation with our Entertainment Partners & Content team, champion and help strengthening our collaboration with our IP partner, ensuring mutual value when applying fandom thinking (social play, online communities and physical events)
Educate internal stakeholders to adopt and execute real time marketing, social play and community engagement.

Please note that the role is based at our headquarters in Billund (DK). Expected travel activity as around 20 days/year.

The Global Marketing Department is responsible for creating and fostering consumer demand for the LEGO Group by converting consumer, shopper and market insights into compelling & innovative product lines, marketing strategies + campaigns. This role lands in the New Business area and will focus on developing our business within new territories.
This is a key leadership role within one of our businesses with the highest potential.
Do you have what it takes
We are looking for a candidate who has strong experience in building and engaging communities in both physical and digital environments, and with a proven track record of developing engagement strategies for both, online communities, physical events and any relevant channel. Experience in the field of toys is a plus. You could be just the right candidate if you:
Understand kids’ fandom, communities, and have an intuitive understanding of how we can connect with kids and their culture in an authentic and meaningful way
Are a great leader who thrives when leading partners of different seniorities and able to generate positive relationships while influencing big cross-company internal/external agendas
Have an open-minded and dedicated approach - ready to build bigger thinking through collaboration
Are persistent, resilient and find excitement in working in flexible and constantly changing environments
Have a track record of contributing to the growth of social brands
Have a track record of developing sound strategic thinking.
Have a strong intuition for business, strong analytical skills and ability to make results- skills for turning real-time insights (communities/consumer/shopper/market insights) into action.
Have demonstrated a willingness to take calculated risks and agility in responding to the changing external landscape.
Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
