This role gives an exciting opportunity to join a new platform team and influence how IT technology can innovate our shopfloor area and take it to the next level of automation, optimization, reliability and usability.
Core Responsibilities
- Contribute to set the direction and culture in a new and highly important product team.
- Take lead and drive our DevOps strategy to optimize development, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Engineer products to the highest standards of security and data privacy by implementing and following LEGO Group security and data privacy principles from ideation to production release and beyond.
- Engineer products that follow highest coding standards e.g., documentation and efficiency.
- Ensure product robustness and reliability by writing and executing unit and integration tests.
- Improve operational efficiency by developing automation tools for daily tasks.
- Build efficient and optimal solutions by challenging ideas/opinions.
Play your part in our team succeeding
The Platform Technology department provides solutions and technology for the engineering areas of the LEGO Group. In this position, you will be part of a new product team where you will build a platform that enables other teams to seamlessly integrate with shopfloor automated logistic flows. You will work closely with other product teams and providers of shopfloor automated logistics solutions. The ambition is to create a platform that ensures users and systems can interact in a user-friendly solution, regardless of the chosen automated logistic provider, to ensure reliable movement of goods between locations. The team will play an important role for the evolution of logistics in the LEGO Group, and strong development and DevOps practices are key to ensuring continued success. We expect you to have a strong engineering background and to be passionate about enhancing and optimizing our DevOps practices.
Do you have what it takes?
- Strong background working with object-oriented programming languages, preferably .NET, C#, EF Core, ASP.NET Core, and Typescript.
- Strong background working with observability and tracing, e.g. with Elastic and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience working with CI/CD, Testing automation, and deploying Containerized Applications using Helm charts.
- Comfortable working in a large enterprise digital ecosystem.
- Work independently and can help set the direction for the product team.
In addition, it would be great if you also have:
- Worked with integration platforms i.e., Apache Pulsar, Rabbit MQ, or similar.
- Experience with system and service architecture.
- Driven by passion and curiosity.
- Able to communicate, share and document ideas with peers.
- Ready for social interactions, learning through play and fun on a daily basis.
