Senior Software Engineer - Automated Logistics

Job Description

This role gives an exciting opportunity to join a platform team early on, and influence how technology can innovate our shopfloor area and take it to the next level of automation, optimization, reliability and usability.

Core Responsibilities

• Contribute to setting the direction and culture in a new and highly important product team.
• Engineer products to the highest standards of security and data privacy by implementing and adhering to the LEGO Group’s security and data privacy principles from ideation to production release and beyond.
• Develop products following the highest coding standards, including thorough documentation and coding efficiency.
• Ensure product robustness and reliability by writing and executing unit and integration tests.
• Improve operational efficiency by developing automation tools for daily tasks.
• Build efficient and optimal solutions by constructively challenging ideas and opinions.

The Platform Technology department provides solutions and technology for the engineering areas of the LEGO Group. In this position, you will be part of a product team where you will build a platform that enables other teams to seamlessly integrate with shopfloor automated logistic flows.  You will work closely with other product teams and providers of shopfloor automated logistics solutions.  The ambition is to create a platform that ensures users and systems can interact in a user-friendly solution, regardless of the chosen automated logistic provider, to ensure reliable movement of goods between locations.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• Strong background in object-oriented programming languages, preferably .NET, C#, EF Core, ASP.NET Core, and TypeScript.
• Experience working with observability and tracing tools such as Elastic and OpenTelemetry.
• Skilled in CI/CD, testing automation, and deploying containerized applications using Helm charts.
• Comfortable working within a large enterprise digital ecosystem.
• Ability to work independently and help set the direction for the product team.

It Would Be Beneficial If You Also Have:

• Experience with integration platforms, e.g., Apache Pulsar, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Familiarity with system and service architecture.
• A drive fueled by passion and curiosity.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to share and document ideas with peers.
• Enthusiasm for social interaction, learning through play, and having fun every day.
