We are seeking an innovative leader to drive the launch of Merchandise Financial Planning at LEGO Retail, a key advancement in our planning capabilities. This role involves developing a comprehensive view of top-line targets across product categories, channels, locations, and timeframes. You will establish clear objectives and critical metrics to align assortment plans with line-level forecasts, fueling our strategic growth and innovation.
Please note that this position is located at our vibrant LEGO Campus in Billund, DK. No relocation assistance is offered for this role
Core Responsibilities
- Merchandise Planning: Coordinate the global Merchandise Financial Plan with a focus on location-specific metrics and alignment with top-down strategies, initially covering a 24-month horizon.
- Target Setting: Collaborate on annual targets for sales, margin, and inventory, primarily for LEGO.com, ensuring alignment with store planners.
- Campaign Metrics: Provide detailed forecasts for key campaigns like Black Friday to support fulfillment center capacity planning.
- Shopper Trends: Analyze consumer data to identify risks and opportunities within the financial plan.
- Collaboration: Foster strong relationships across Finance, Category Management, Channels, and Marketing to ensure comprehensive planning.
- Risk and Scenario Planning: Monitor performance, identify risks, and propose strategies to address gaps, modeling the impact of promotions on inventory and margins.
- Process Alignment: Ensure standard methodologies are applied globally throughout the LEGO Retail planning process.
- Leadership in Projects: Lead regional and global initiatives to enhance planning and operations, focusing on implementing the o9 platform for statistical forecasting.

Do you have what it takes?
- Proven financial planning expertise in both online and brick-and-mortar retail environments.
- Skilled in developing retail plans at country and store levels.
- Proficient in using statistical forecasting to boost planning accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong collaboration skills across diverse functions, cultures, and management levels.
- Analytical approach with the ability to identify patterns and derive insights from large data sets.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in leading global process changes, creating new frameworks, and ensuring governance.
- Driven by achieving goals with a proactive, can-do attitude that embraces challenges.
