Core Responsibilities

  • Analysis of Database growth and Implementation of ILM Archiving
  • Providing installation, configuration, functional and technical expertise for SAP ILM and assist with testing and validation of results.
  • Coordinate with collaborators (Functional Product Teams, external providers, etc.)
  • Support ILM/IQ productive runs, output evaluation and bug fixing.
  • Hands-on with identifying impacts due to archiving and implementing their mitigating solutions.
  • Main driver in Designing, Testing, Production and Postproduction phases in SAP Archiving/ILM implementation assignments.
  • Implementation / configuration both Standard and Custom Archive objects for various SAP modules.
  • Implementing purging/hybrid DVM solutions for technical tables/staging functional tables using standard or external add-ons (e.g. PBS, TJC)
  • Coordinate with collaborators (internal functional or technical teams, external providers)
  • Release management: Analyze release notes and conduct impact assessment. Lead SIT/UAT Testing for upgrades and other enhancements

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proficiency in SAP classical data archiving, ILM, SAP Content Server, OpenText, and SAP IQ; in both SAP ECC and S/4HANA
  • Practical experience with migration of SAP Originals or unstructured data (GOS, DMS,..), maybe SOFFCONTI migration
  • Exposure in ABAP / and ABAP OO development
  • Experience in SAP data technology (maybe worked with interfaces, data migrations)
  • Strong expertise in ILM data archiving, covering ILM Destruction, ILM conversion, DART, and SAP Content Server.
  • Experience in at least one functional module (FI/CO (preferable), SD, MM, PP/QM, etc.), with good understanding of data hierarchy.
  • Good understanding of at least one country-specific legal requirement.
  • Practical experience in migrating to SAP Data Archiving across different SAP versions and good knowledge in various retrieval tools like AIS, PBS, TJC, SNP etc.

Nice to have experiences include:

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and cloud integration.
  • Hands on in ABAP / and ABAP OO development.
  • Knowledge in BTP offering.
  • Knowledge in Azure/AWS.
