This is a temporary role for 12 Months fixed contract.
Core Responsibilities
As a Senior Interactive Play Designer, you will contribute to the creation of the future of interactive play, blending physical and digital design from early concepts to launch-ready experiences.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Align with Goals: Ensure a clear direction for your projects by aligning with team goals and handling your tasks optimally.
- Lead by Example: Guide and support designers and developers, offering insights and influencing project direction.
- Share and Discuss: Optimally communicate and exchange project ideas with team members, collaborators, customers, and partners.
- Craft Creative Concepts: Develop and construct imaginative play experiences using LEGO® elements, consumer insights, and industry expertise.
- Understand Our Audience: Craft prototypes to test with kids, ensuring engaging and lasting play experiences.
- Collaborate in Workshops: Take part in workshops and brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas and constructive feedback.
- Project Efficiency: Keep projects on track, balancing creativity with practical constraints like budget, time, and technology.
About the Team
The LEGO® Design team is home to over 600 designers, leading innovation for the LEGO Group. In Billund, Denmark, you’ll join the Interaction Design Team, a group of passionate designers working on diverse projects that bring together physical and digital play. We strive to make play accessible, inclusive, and inspiring for children worldwide.
Your Role in Interactive Play Innovation
Collaborate with model designers, marketers, app developers, and more to drive interactive play for new and existing products, ensuring each project is both enjoyable and impactful.
Do You Have What It Takes?
We’re looking for someone with a background in Interaction Design or a similar field. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience crafting connected toys or play experiences
- Knowledge of Interaction Design, UX, Game Design, or related fields
- A systematic approach to design and task prioritization
- A track record in concept development through to product launch
- Strong communication skills to share ideas clearly and concisely
- Experience with products for children or young adults (preferred)
