Core Responsibilities
Main focus for this role will be to develop long-term global sourcing strategies aligned with market insights, partner requirements and value potential for LEGO® Construction portfolio. More specifically you will:
Drive the organization in continuous improvement through ongoing analysis of lessons learned trending data and adjust strategy/execution accordingly
Use your high level of expertise in contract management and tendering processes
Work closely with Operations Team to co-develop future construction roadmap and strategy
Build and maintain global supplier base - incl. contracting, negotiations, relationship building, risk management and supplier performance
Tap into supplier expertise for innovation and efficiency improvements and develop deep executive relationships
Manage supply-base risk and build strong business continuity and resiliency to minimize disruption potential to our factories and office locations
Influence and manage positive relationships with key partners
Help drive company’s sustainability ambition through strong influencing and partnering across global supply base
Achieve and monitor global performance metrics
Ensure flawless execution of sourcing events globally

Out of Billund, you will join our Construction team, which is deeply engaged in formulating strategies for manufacturing locations globally.
Join a distributed team that completes capital projects and implements a harmonized procurement strategy for safe building design and construction.
Our team is part of the Indirect Materials & Services Procurement Organization, which covers various areas of spending like facilities, IT/Digital, professional services, travel, distribution, and logistics.
Do you have what it takes
We imagine that you are a team-player, yet self-motivated and able to navigate in uncertain and challenging situations. You have strong leadership and communication skills, which help you to collaborate, steer and influence at high levels with internal and external business partners. Moreover, you have:
+5 years global category management experience - within regional/global construction.
Strong experience managing complex contract negotiations
Experience in working across multiple functions and matrixed organization and a high degree of flexibility as we are working across time zones and countries
Familiar with FIDIC and AB18 contract models
Experience leading Transformation
Proficiency in English and Danish both verbally and written
The role is based in Billund (Denmark) and some travel is expected, approx. 6 trips a year to our LEGO Manufacturing sites
