We are seeking a Senior Concept Designer to join our LEGO Licensing & Extended Line for this unique opportunity to creatively impact a broad product line, building cohesive concepts across categories!

Core Responsibilities  

  • Conceptualize product category programs: Invent immersive category programs and play experiences through brainstorming and concept sketches. 

  • Visualize ideas: Bring ideas to life with concept sketches, mood boards, and digital renderings. 

  • Collaborate: Work cross category with Creative Leads and Designers to develop new, cohesive LEGO products across our Licensing product line, Extended product line and Branded Partnerships product line. 

  • Research trends: Stay updated on industry trends and consumer preferences to build appealing concepts for our kids and family audience. 

  • Insights: Work with Marketing team and Product Managers to gain audience insights.

Licensing and Extended Line helps build new touch points for the LEGO® ecosystem through licensed consumer products, branded collaborations, publishing as well as unique brick products exclusive to LEGO Retail. The creative team is a diverse, multidisciplinary group who works closely with the internal design organization as well as external partners. Our products and experiences strive to deepen LEGO fandom as well as help extend the LEGO Play experiences to new products and spaces.  

This new role as a Senior Concept Designer will focus on conceptualizing cross category concepts for the LEGO Extended Line, LEGO Licensing, and LEGO Branded Partnerships. 

 

Do you have what it takes?  

  • Proven experience as a designer, ideally within concept design. The background could be graphic design, fashion design, concept art, or similar experience - with a pure passion for the concepting phase of the product design process. Ideally with kids as the target audience.  

  • Proven ability to work on varying concept levels – from creating broad concept direction to a more narrowed conceptualized range of products within given framework. 

  • Demonstrated ability to show strong creative thinking and originality to fuel innovative LEGO concepts. 

  • Understanding of the LEGO System of Play is a plus. 

  • Strong communication, presentation, storytelling and visualization skills. 

  • Experienced user of Adobe CS  

  • Flexibility and openness to work in groups or in close networks and with people from a diverse set of backgrounds.
