About us:
Creative Play Lab (CPL) is at the heart of new product innovations at the LEGO Group. As an intern in the Play Discovery Prototypes team, you will learn to use our prototyping tools to get hands on with a variety of prototyping tasks from day one. You’ll get to work across our wide range of machines, developing your equipment expertise to master your craft as you support the teams in designing, prototyping, and iterating on the toys of the future with your prototyping skills.
Meet the team:
We're professional craftspeople from diverse backgrounds, including industrial designers, mechanical engineers, machinists and carpenters who deploy our expertise in equipment, printing and manufacturing to develop innovative new ways to piece together the prototypes of our future toys and internal prototypes. We explore all the possibilities for how we can make designs become reality with our unique design-for-production (or making) perspective. We ask ‘have you thought of making it this way?’ to spark ideas in our inventor colleagues to turn their concepts into physically ‘prototypable’ play.
