Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and thorough Mould Designer to join our team! In this role, you will play a key part in designing high-quality moulds, collaborating with global collaborators, and ensuring the timely delivery of projects!

Core Responsibilities

  • Support analysis and provide solutions for mould design related problems
  • Support collaboration with collaborators globally to ensure delivery in time, cost and quality
  • Cultivate knowledge in mould designs and its processes
  • Cultivate knowledge of upstream/downstream processes, capabilities & limitations
  • Support in updating mould designs according to internal platform and standards

All activities in Mould Design revolve around Speed to Market, enabling LEGO to bring high quality products to meet consumer demand.

  • Mould Design owns element shrinkage.
  • We want to be data driven, focused on process.

By taking the ownership and lifting the accountability regarding element shrinkage, we will help Elements & Moulds business to succeed on overall quality & lead-time agenda. The data driven approach will support this significantly.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Education within Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge and experience in NX System, 3D Design, Microsoft Office and SAP is needed.
  • A global mind-set capable of creating strong relations with collaborators across geographical, cultural and professional borders
  • Knowledge on moulding processes and plastic materials in general.
  • Knowledge of tool making.
  • Ability to analyze mould design related problems and come up with technical solutions
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal

The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
