Core Responsibilities

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction of our product teams. You will mentor engineers, lead key initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across product teams to deliver exceptional solutions.
  • Act as a technical sparring partner and formulate the technical roadmap in collaboration with the Principal Engineer.
  • Drive the journey toward API-led integration and test automation ('shift-left') within product teams.
  • Participate in development of new prototypes and guide the selection of software solutions.
  • Explore emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for our platforms.
  • Collaborate with competency leads on team skill development and training opportunities.
  • Champion a DevSecOps mindset: “You build it – you own it (and run it).”

The Supply & Demand Technology team builds and innovates global Digital solutions for the entire supply chain in the LEGO Group, which is vital in delivering phenomenal play experiences. We handle extensive and constantly evolving amounts of data, and our products are the foundation for planning the supply, production, and distribution of LEGO® products globally.

Handling changes in planning and master data is challenging and requires robust solutions to ensure an efficient flow in the factories and distribution. This is why we focus on quality, speed, skilled and motivated people, and modern software development practices to accomplish this. Do you have what it takes?

  • Extensive experience in software development and enterprise architecture.
  • Expertise in cloud development, microservices, API integrations, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ABAP Cloud, SAP BTP, and domain-driven design.
  • Proven ability to create robust, scalable software solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
  • Agile development and continuous delivery experience.

Bonus qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP BTP, node.js, SAP UI5, or Databricks.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Foundry and SAP BTP AI solutions.
  • Experience leading senior engineering teams technically.
