We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Firmware Team Leader to join our engineering team, leading the design, development, and optimization of firmware for embedded systems, working closely with multi-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and efficient solutions.

We do not offer relocation for this position
 

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of firmware engineers to design and develop embedded software for a variety of hardware platforms supporting different sensors and motors

  • Foster a culture of collaboration between many different domains – e.g. engineering, experience and learning.

  • Ensuring structured continuous development of the people and team

  • Experience with working in large matrix organizations, supporting multiple projects at the same time

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, ensuring high standards of coding, design practices are maintained, and world class develops are built

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, standard processes, and emerging technologies in embedded systems and firmware development.

  • Contribute to the selection and adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies for firmware development.

  • Collaborate with hardware development, defining HW requirements, validating HW designs and maybe experience with the process of bringing newly developed products into mass production

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate has a background within Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar combined with experience in embedded firmware development and team leadership. In addition, we are looking for an individual, who has:

  • Strong proficiency in C, C++, and/or assembly programming for embedded systems.

  • Experience with microcontrollers, SoCs, and real-time operating system (RTOS).

  • Familiarity with hardware communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.) and debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes).

  • Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture and memory management.

  • Experience with firmware testing and debugging tools, such as Simulators, emulators, and unit testing frameworks.
