Job Description
Are you interested in becoming the Finance Director for the LEGO® Retail Stores in Americas, EMEA and China and for the LEGO Retail Development Teams? This is a unique opportunity to drive strategic direction and financial leadership on a global scale, in a high growth business.
Core Responsibilities
Business Partner three Vice Presidents covering AMS & EMEA stores, China stores & Retail Development.
Member of the LEGO Retail Finance Leadership Team.
Drive the long-term channel development alongside the business through like-for-like growth, store expansion and real estate choices.
Lead channel profitability strategy through streamlined initiatives and various cost control initiatives.
Lead key strategic projects including process improvement in our lease and store labour management.
Ensure the right financial guardrails and governance are in place for store investment decisions.
Be responsible for store P&L forecast and actual reporting towards the LEGO Group Retail Leadership team.
Lead and develop a team of seven members, based in different regions.
Play your part in our team succeeding
LEGO® Retail Finance consists of up to twenty colleagues based across Europe, the US and Asia. You will report into the Head of LEGO Retail Finance, who reports into the Senior Vice President of Markets & Channels Finance. You will support the delivery of commercial targets that enable future investment in the LEGO brand, as well as working laterally across supporting functions to drive operational improvements and elevate business decision making. This role manages a team of 7 members, located in different regions.
Do you have what it takes?
A degree or equivalent experience is not a prerequisite, however a record in finance accounting proficiency is essential.
Broad Finance experience in a worldwide organization, particularly in commercial finance.
Retail finance experience supporting profitable sales growth, new store business cases, lease negotiations and store performance optimisation on a global scale.
Collaborative and nimble in style, can influence effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders and is equipped to partner with teams and individuals across the LEGO Group.
Consistent record of delivering strategic, complex and cross-functional projects from definition to completion.
Strategic & analytical brainpower with a strong end to end business understanding, proactively looking for opportunities to create value for the LEGO Group.
Proven record of generating and communicating insights through data analytics.
Proven experience of leading & developing a global team.
