Core Responsibilities

  • Drive U.S. Earned & Events strategy and execution

  • Build Earned & Events programs and campaigns that drive business impact and measurable action

  • Develop new and innovative approaches to telling the LEGO Group’s story in the U.S. to key audiences

  • Translate U.S. business needs into narratives in collaboration with broader marketing team

  • Lead campaign / seasonal planning process and integration with key partners

  • Manage Earned & Events agency resources and overall performance

  • Serve as key point-of-contact and collaborate cross-functionally with channel teams (including Global Social and Global M&C [Influencers, Newsroom])

The Earned & Events team plays a critical role within our U.S. Marketing organization, shaping and telling the company’s story to the audiences that matter most. The Director, U.S. Earned and Events leads and collaborates with a team of experts who build creative, strategic and actionable earned media campaigns / executions and event experiences to deliver long-term brand love and business growth.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Previous PR / communications experience inside a large, global consumer brand

  • Experience managing and producing large-scale consumer events / activations

  • Demonstrable skill in influencer strategy, management and activation

  • PR agency / partner management experience and demonstrable experience overseeing operational budgets in excess of $5 million annually

  • Proven experience in launching consumer products, with a strong passion for driving innovative and comprehensive campaigns

  • Strong people management capabilities; history of growing and advancing team members

  • “Player-coach” mentality and tools; ability to both lead and challenge the team strategically, while also implementing the plan at a tactical level

  • Creative problem solver; finds the positive in the most challenging of circumstances

  • Previous experience both within an agency and consumer packaged goods brand preferred

  • Previous experience working with / within a global marketing organization strongly recommended

  • Demonstrable skill in navigating and delivering against “stretch goals” in complex organizational structures, a plus!

Additional details on this position

  • The salary for this position has a range of $151,100 - $226,700 USD based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.

  • This position will initially be based at 10 St. James Street in Boston, before moving to a new office location at 1001 Boylston Street by mid-2025. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.
