Bring your expertise in driving product innovation and product strategy to help shape the future of products and platforms for LEGO Education!
 

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead exploration on key strategic topics which apply across LEGO Education’s learning product portfolios.

  • Generate and evaluate product and licensing partnership opportunities and as aligned with the Head of Product Experience, Head of Product Marketing, and Heads of Product.

  • Contribute as a member of LEGO Education’s Product Experience (PX) leadership team to ensure alignment to product strategy and strong ways-of-working across matrix organization.

  • Track emerging trends in the education and educational technology industry.

  • Conduct initial industry and market research to establish foundational insights for play themes (e.g., animals, space, vehicles, art/crafts) and other product opportunities. This process is continuous, always looking 3–5 years out.

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Design Innovation to create a culture of innovation, experimentation, and prototyping.

Starting with the initial release of LEGO MINDSTORMS in 1998, LEGO Education has been at the forefront of building experiences that merge digital and physical play. Today, we have built on this history with products like LEGO Education SPIKE Prime and LEGO Education SPIKE Essential. Creating these new types of learning and play opportunities for children requires a highly innovative, collaborative, and iterative mentality and approach. We are seeking an experienced and passionate product innovation strategist to join our team with an extensive background in the learning space to enable the next generation of LEGO Education’s products and services.
 

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate has a background within design, engineering, or marketing/business coupled with extensive work experience within product development. You bring strategic leadership and/or consulting experience, combined with proven experience with strategy development and advising senior partners and executives. As a person, you have outstanding communication and collaboration skills. Experience developing learning and/or play experiences for children (international experience outside of the US is a plus).
