Job Description

Are you interested in a demand planner role supporting the LEGO Group with its forecasting and facilitating of the S&OP processes? 

Your technical proficiency in demand planning makes you a trusted partner to the Operational and Commercial Teams. You will provide valuable insight and analysis to support gap closing initiatives. The accuracy of your forecasts has a direct impact on supply chain efficiency and product availability 

Core Responsibilities 

  • You will support the facilitation of the various Demand Planning review meetings with Marketing and Customer Development/Sales teams 

  • Be the guardian of the S&OP leadership behaviours 

  • Ensure forecasting assumptions are clearly understood and tracked 

  • Maintain productive working relationships with the cross functional team members 

  • Building upon a statistical forecast output you will deliver an accurate demand plan 

  • You will be measured on your ability to accurately forecast both Consumer Sales and Shipments to Customers 

  • Ensure demand plans accurately reflect known marketing, product launch timings and promotional activities both LEGO and customer funded. 

  • Supporting sales and marketing to evaluate the likely impact of commercial investments 

  • You will maintain the data bases required for the statistical engines to run

Reporting into the European Supply Chain Organisation you will support the broader business to evaluate the volume and value (revenue and profit) of the existing plans, enabling senior management to identify gaps to target and take corrective action.  

Your work will be key to an effective BU S&OP process, helping the business to deliver its commercial targets. The demand planning role is “multi lingual” as it is used to advise supply chain (volume) and the commercial planning processes (value). 

Do you have what it takes: 

  • 2+ years experience working within a consumer goods environment ideally as demand or supply planner 

  • An ability to master complexity 

  • Be able to communicate in a way that makes the complex simple 

  • Be comfortable working with senior and junior colleagues 

  • Proven influencing skills 

  • Be able to assimilate multiple data inputs and settle a most likely outcome 

  • A proven understanding of statistics 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills 

  • An ability to balance local priorities and those set functionally
