This position exists to manage all the commercial aspects with LEGO Suppliers to ensure the supply of Indirect materials and services to LOM on time and with the right level of quality agreed with our internal customers and stakeholders.
Main challenges for this position are to manage the Categories needs and strategy in compliance with the local and global processes and engaging Suppliers on performing accordingly while is continuously pursuing value add.
This position seeks for Effective & Efficient Category Management locally which will increase productivity, moreover:
- Improve Compliance (Secure best practice on contracts and processes)
- Increase Value Add (Address More Spend, Increase visibility / forecasting, include productivity savings)
- Improve Partner Promise (Be proactive)
Core Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Contracting: To Understand the business needs and provides supply and sourcing strategies and contracts in compliance with product specifications and Category requirements.
- Negotiation & Cost analysis: To drive quotes and cost analysis and breakdown for negotiation, price adjustments by cost drivers and to create a healthy competitiveness environment.
- Risk Management: To Identify, manage, and communicate risks by leading action plans to avoid/mitigate potential impacts from own area and linked to internal customers points of connection.
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): To lead Supplier Relationship Account by developing, evaluating and with a continuous improvement approach to the Vendors as responsible. Manage low complex categories with higher level of spend or under special area of development within Indirect Procurement.
- Market & key indicators tracking: To analyze industry, economic and financial key indicators along with legal conditions to track actual & projected trends that influence on price variance factors to estimate impacts and drive actions to mitigate them.
- Productivity & Continuous Improvement: To drive productivity and efficiency initiatives internally and with suppliers, providing saving to the business and workload reduction.
- Project Management as leader or participant.
- Comply with the Procurement Processes related to the Supply Chain Security Programs (CTPAT-OEA) and FSC through internal applicable processes and guidelines to comply with these Programs.
- Digital skills (Power BI): Manage and develop visual and interactive insight for analyze from own area of responsibility.
EHS Related:
- Take responsibility for the appropriate integration and / or implementation of the QEHS System in the operational processes of your area and ensure its effectiveness.
- Assign the necessary resources for the management of the QEHS system in the area.
- Provide support, participate proactively, and demonstrate leadership on QEHS in your area
- Comply with the QEHS legal requirements, standards (External / internal) and others applicable to your area
Do you have what it takes?
- More than 5 years of experience in the Procurement or Sourcing area of a manufacturing company
- Bachelor’s degree (International Business, Management, Engineering, or related field)
- Global and local collaboration environment experience
- Experience in participating in Projects impacting the Organization within Supply Chain and productivity areas.
Hard Skills:
- Project management participation experience.
- Continuous Improvement basic tools and methodology to solve problems and develop ideas.
- Microsoft Office (Intermediate – Advanced)
- Reporting and data analysis knowledge.
Soft Skills:
- Advanced negotiation and communication skills.
- Customer service and quality oriented.
- High ability to do risk assessments and problem solution oriented to good and strategic results.
- Proactive person, looking for innovation and good teamwork.
- High level of leadership.
- English proficient level.
- Note: This position is based at our LEGO NL manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores. This is not a remote position.
