The Merlin Partnership team is a part of the Product and Marketing Development division in The LEGO Group. Our overall responsibility is to drive the strategic partnership between The LEGO Group and Merlin Entertainments.
Our purpose is to leverage synergies and create consistent and connected experiences across LEGOLAND attractions and The LEGO Group. In this role you will be a part of the team responsible for brand, marketing and innovation within Merlin partnership team.
Merlin Entertainments is the second largest theme park operator in the world. Among others, the group owns and operates 10 LEGOLAND Parks, 25 indoor LEGOLAND Discovery Centers, 9 LEGOLAND Hotels and 4 LEGOLAND Water Parks with more than 17 million guests a year.
Core Responsibilities
- Be the brand ambassador and help build strong LEGO brand experiences across LEGOLAND parks and Discovery Centers.
- Ensure accurate representation of the brand across the global suite of LEGOLAND Parks, Hotels and Discovery Centers.
- Drive the brand approval process for the region (as licensor for the LEGOLAND brand)
- Act as brand approval tool system administrator.
- Maintain and develop our LEGOLAND Brand Portal.
- Drive and/or support the development of brand guideline documents
- Engage directly with LEGO Group and Merlin Entertainment team members across region to ensure LEGO brand training, approvals and compliance meet expectations.
- Be part of global brand relations team and ensure alignment on the Approvals, Assessment and Training workstreams across regions.
Do you have what it takes?
- At least 3-5 years of experience handling a top tier global brand/IP
- Could potentially come from a role as a brand manager, licensing manager or project manager in a creative agency or big brand companies.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- IP management or leisure industry knowledge and experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate a sophisticated people network and communicate effectively across different cultures, roles and levels of seniority.
- High degree of personal integrity.
- Strong collaborative and partnership attitude
- Flexible and resilient towards project/situation changes.
- Ability to balance global direction and localized approach.
- Proficient in both Chinese and English
