Core Responsibilities:
- Backend focused software development to build and run the personalisation engine
- Contributing to system design and implementation decisions under the guidance of other squad members
- As part of the software development process, building and implementing a comprehensive software testing strategy together with our team and the engineering manager
- Actively communicating with other squads to analyse data, understand data flows and incorporate them into the engine where useful
- Gaining an understanding of all marketing endpoints and processes to know how and where the personalisation engine will be used
- Demonstrating a commitment to understanding overall system architecture, and continuously improving through mentorship and feedback.

We are building an omnichannel personalisation engine to bring increasingly personalised experiences to LEGO Shoppers in an exciting, useful, and ethical way. This team focuses heavily on understanding Shopper expectations around personalisation, technical data flow and system constraints, and the needs of other squads in Digital Technology and ultimately build and run the engine that powers personalised digital marketing at the LEGO Group.

We are looking for a passionate associate software engineer who is curious, creative, and enjoys complex problem-solving, with strong communication skills and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Proven backend software development skills
- A problem solving mentality, able to deal with ambiguity
- Strong communication skills as you will be working with multiple squads and stakeholders
Nice to have
Previous experience with digital marketing is a plus.
