Creating adventures from your kids' dreams!

Creating adventures from your kids' dreams!

Unleash your child’s imagination and build their wildest adventures together with LEGO® bricks!

Dreams and creativity are the building blocks of childhood wonder. And as parents and caregivers, it’s SO important that we nurture any sparks of imagination. Who knows, maybe these sparks will grow into lifelong flames of creativity and a passion for adventure! But how can we best encourage our little ones to dream big and see the world as one grand adventure waiting to unfold?

Enter the world of LEGO® bricks – the perfect way to bring dreams to life and spark meaningful conversations about the exciting adventure that is life…

A shortcut to adventure

We believe in the power of imaginative play to unlock children’s potential and bring their dream adventures to life. What happens when you sit on your living room floor/dining

table/bed/back seat of the car/wherever else you like to build, pour out a bowl of bricks and ask, “What amazing adventure shall we build today?”

Well, it opens a whole world of possibilities, encouraging your kids to dream beyond limits and express ideas they might otherwise struggle to put into words. By actively listening and engaging in their brick-built stories, you’re showing them that their dreams matter and that their creativity is the ticket to endless exploration.

To inspire these meaningful conversations with your child about their dreams, hopes and fears – why not ask them to build their own dream adventure scene? It’s a fun, low-pressure way to strengthen your bond and gain insights into their thoughts and feelings.

We challenged some young LEGO enthusiasts to do just this – create their dream adventures. And yep, they’re wonderfully absurd – but every dream is valuable and we should encourage our kids to express themselves freely. Plus, seemingly wild ideas can reveal a lot about a child’s imagination, aspirations and even their worries.

Ready? Let’s take a look at some of these amazing brick-built dream adventures…

Crabby capers

6-year-old Kit loves crabs, so his dream adventure is a day at the pier… with a twist!

His super-cool build features a bustling pier with a Ferris wheel and a shop selling crabbing gear. Nice! But wait, what’s climbing up the pier? Is that… gulp… a giant spider crab…? Yikes!

“Me and Daddy are running away,” Kit explains. “…and it’s following us!” Aaaaaaaaaaah, run Kit! Quick, before it gets you!

But phew – just as the crab is about to catch them it gets distracted by a motorcycle on the road. It (thankfully) changes course and follows the motorcycle through the city streets, scaling buildings and making death-defying jumps. Talk about an epic adventure…

Dino-mayhem

8-year-old Freddy’s exciting LEGO scene shows a town in chaos as dinosaurs run amok. Gulp!

But how did this all start? Well… a mysterious orb crashed into the town, releasing the dinosaurs. Now that doesn’t happen every day, does it?

Freddy points out the brave Minifigure facing off against the T. rex, “The man about to be eaten by the T. rex was trying to save the town. But I don’t think he’ll be successful…”

Will the dinosaurs take over? Only time will tell…

A house like no other…

Fancy a trip to a magical realm, where the outdoors comes indoors? Then look no further than 6-year-old Indie’s adventure creation!

This awesome build shows a house with a forest growing inside it. But of course, there’s more than meets the eye and some of the trees are invisible. Woah!

“The people visiting have to be careful not to bump into them,” Indie explains. And as if invisible trees weren’t magical enough, she adds, “There will probably be fairies that visit and fly around, too.”

Sometimes the most extraordinary journeys can happen right at home, and Indie’s adventure reminds us of that. Cool, right?

Build your own brick adventure

Do you want to encourage your kids to dream big and think about their own adventures? Pass on these tips…

  • Don’t limit yourself to what’s ‘realistic’. The only limit is your imagination – so think BIG!
  • Combine elements from different LEGO sets to create unique scenes.
  • Think about what’s happening in your scene. Who are the characters? What challenges do they face? It’s important to tell a story (and make it fun, too!)
  • Like Indie’s invisible trees, try to include unexpected, surprising elements to make your adventure exciting.
  • Build with friends or family and tell them about your adventure. Sharing is caring, after all!

Remember to use this time to talk about hopes, dreams and the excitement of life! Every build provides an opportunity to connect with your kids and nurture their creativity. So, what incredible journey will you go on together?
