How to get Sandstone for Mos Eisley in LEGO® Fortnite®

“If there's a bright center to the universe,” Luke Skywalker told C-3PO about Tatooine, “you're on the planet that it's farthest from.”

It was hardly a ringing endorsement, and even though it made sense from the perspective of a blonde-haired teenager who wanted nothing more than to leave his home planet, the Star Wars™ universe could hardly have a more important planet, at least as far as the fate of the galaxy is concerned.

The decor of that all-important desert planet in the Outer Rim Territories arrived in LEGO® Fortnite® with its massive Star Wars update.

In this LEGO Fortnite story, we’ll explain the Mos Eisley builds and show you how to create the Sandstone that you need for them.

Sandstone ingredients

Tatooine is a desert planet full of sand, and Mos Eisley is a spaceport on that sandy planet. Before you build big structures, you’re going to need a lot of Sand, which you’re then going to need to turn into Sandstone.

To get Sand, just make yourself a Shovel at a Crafting Bench. You can build any Shovel, but the better the Shovel, the longer it will last.

With your Shovel equipped, head to a Dry Valley or a Shore biome and dig in the ground. Instead of Soil, which you’d get in Grasslands, you’ll get Sand instead.

Making Sandstone

To make Sandstone, you need to build a Stone Breaker.

The materials cost of a Sone Breaker is 20 Knotroot and 35 Marble. You can find both of those materials inside Grasslands Caves. Check out our guides to finding Knotroot and mining Marble for detailed instructions.

The recipe for Sandstone is 1 Granite and 1 Sand, so you’ll have to do a lot of digging and a lot of mining.

You’ve been collecting Granite since your first moments in LEGO Fortnite, so fall back on what you already know. Pick little rocks up off of the ground, smash big boulders with the best Pickaxe you can make, and assign some of your minifigure friends to collect some, too.

Gathering other materials

The Mos Eisley builds require more than Sandstone. Some of the ingredients will be familiar, and some of them are new with the Star Wars update.

We’re here to help with that, too! Check out our guide to getting Plastoid and our guide to making Glass.

Happy gathering, and enjoy recreating a galaxy far, far away!
