LEGO® NINJAGO® – What’s next for the Ninja?

What’s next for the Ninja?

NINJAGO®: Crystalized has come to a thrilling end, and now NINJAGO fans are asking the question: what happens next?

It got us thinking… who better to answer that question than the NINJAGO fans themselves?

So if you have a creative kid who is a LEGO® NINJAGO fan, our new campaign – NINJAGO NXT – is giving them the chance to shape the NINJAGO future with some good old-fashioned comic strips!

And it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…

Step 1: Learn from the best

We’ve gathered the masterful storytellers behind the NINJAGO universe to get them to share their top tips with the NINJAGO fanbase.

In five videos, they pass on all they’ve learned over the previous 15 seasons of LEGO NINJAGO, covering everything from drawing ninja minifigures to perfecting a comic strip background and even tips on how to best structure a story.

You can watch them all by clicking here.

Step 2: Practice makes perfect

We’ve made a free, custom comic template that’s endlessly downloadable, meaning your little NINJAGO fan can have as many opportunities as they need to hone and perfect their craft!

No matter how many times they practice what they’ll draw beforehand, every time the template is filled out they’ll see an improvement in their drawing and storytelling skills. Especially if your little ninja has never made a comic before.

When they’re finally satisfied, it’s time to upload!

Step 3: Join the gallery

The best way for kids to upload their comic is through the LEGO Life app. It’s our fun, safe and completely kid-friendly space for like-minded young LEGO fans to get together. Your kid can find instructions on how to upload by joining the NINJAGO group on LEGO Life.

We’ve also created a special page on LEGO Ideas for kids over 13 to upload their masterpieces.

Every comic we receive will be uploaded to a ginormous gallery of creativity that you’ll be able to find on the NINJAGO site on LEGO.com!

So, if your kid is sad about the end of NINJAGO season 15 and the (seeming) end of Spinjitzu and wants to keep the good times spinning, there’s no better way than by bringing the story into their own hands!
