International Women’s Day 2025 – Gender equality is a shared journey for us. 🛣️

Every day, we’re building an inclusive and welcoming workplace where all our colleagues feel a sense of belonging. To keep moving forward, we’re creating family friendly policies to support all colleagues. And, fostering a culture of learning, partnering with external organisations and giving everyone here the tools, knowledge and space they need to play their part in our vision of being a global force for learning through play.
A network committed to fostering inclusion and equality
As we mark International Woman's Day, here is how the Women’s Inclusion Network, known as WiN, is committed to supporting and representing women at the LEGO Group, fostering inclusion and a sense of community all year round.

Victoria McElhinney, Digital Product Marketing Manager (London), co-chair of WiN in EMEA was inspired to step into this leadership role to unlock the potential of the network:
“Seeing the energy and dedication from other female leaders, at both the LEGO Group and in previous roles, has further fuelled my commitment to create an environment where women and allies can feel supported and empowered. I believe ‘leading’ – in any capacity – means fostering a safe space - one that nurtures a sense of community, trust, and belonging.”

For Kate Deurloo, Senior Manager Shopper Marketing (Enfield, US), leading the WiN has always been about creating a space where women feel heard, valued, and supported.
“By providing resources, mentorship, and a community of support, the Women’s Inclusion Network can help women advance in their careers and achieve their full potential.”

Kelly Theologou, Retail Procurement & Operations Manager (Boston), co-chair of WiN in the Americas emphasises:
“By fostering an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives, we can help break down systemic barriers and create an environment where everyone can succeed. Additionally, allyship: addressing and challenging instances of bias or discrimination contributes to a more equitable workplace for women.”

Imali Hettiarachchi, Senior Brand Strategist (London), co-chair of WiN in EMEA, stresses the importance of ensuring women across intersections of identities find their voice in the community:
“As co-chairs, our goal is to create a true sense of belonging - where every woman, regardless of background, feels seen, supported, and part of a community. As a global company, the women of the LEGO Group are incredibly diverse, and bringing an intersectional lens to our work is essential.”

Driving inclusion locally
Our Diversity & Inclusion Task forces are also helping to bring International Woman’s Day to life across LEGO locations. Engaging colleagues around the world, they are spotlighting learning and awareness and connecting colleagues through local events and activities.
Campfires have taken place in our Singapore and Shanghai Hubs, and a leader panel discussion at our factory in Monterrey, Mexico. More events are planned during March.
Awareness and learning through partnerships
Our commitment to gender equality with UN Women
The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) outline the best ways businesses can deliver on gender equality and women’s empowerment, and by signing up to them, we are committed to taking bold steps to advance gender equality in our workplace, marketplace and community.
Women in Data
A partnership to strengthen and energise our conscious inclusion behaviours every day – It is helping us on this journey to improve gender representation within Digital Technology. We want everyone to experience the wonderful data space environment at the LEGO Group and our partnership is helping us to widen our credentials in the data world.
