Make every day magic with Harry Potter™

Make every day magic with Harry Potter™

Why limit magic to the Wizarding World™?

You can bring enchantment and wonder into each day with LEGO® Harry Potter™. Unleash your kid’s imagination and turn mundane chores into spellbinding adventures.

All you need is a flick of creativity, and you can make every moment feel like a day at Hogwarts™.

Illusion, card tricks and laundry?

Transform chores like laundry into a form of play with a bit of magic. Turn the boring task of sorting the laundry into a Sorting Hat™ game where your children have to sort the colors of laundry as if they are sorting them into the Hogwarts houses. Gryffindor™ for darks, Hufflepuff™ for whites?

And while helping with the dreaded task of putting away clothes, they can pretend to be stocking the shelves of magical enterprises like Ollivanders™ or Madam Malkin’s Robes in Diagon Alley™!

Once they’ve mastered these tasks, why not introduce some real magic? They don’t need a wand from Ollivanders just yet. You can start by introducing illusion and card tricks to your kids! Teach them classics like revealing the four aces or finding a chosen card, and explore basic illusions tricks for beginners such as the disappearing coin or floating ring.

Herbology at home

Next, we’ll transfigure garden upkeep into a Herbology lesson!

Teach your children about the importance and wonder of nature by recreating a Herbology class. Just like wizards learning how to repot Mandrakes with Professor Sprout, you can teach your children to take care of plants together as a family.

Make it magical by drawing little faces on the plants, so they can pretend they are replanting Mandrakes, carefully taking them out of the pot and repotting them in others. Just make sure to wear earmuffs before starting!

And just as Hogwarts students learn the properties of magical plants like Gillyweed and Devil’s Snare, you can explore the garden with your kid, and asking them to take notes on all the plants and create a Herbology almanac to share with their classmates.

Cooking and baking? We think you mean potion-making!

A chore like cooking might not be nearly as complex as potions (most of the time), but it can be just as magical.

Cooking is both an essential everyday task and an important skill to teach your little ones. Just add a dash of Harry Potter magic, and you’ll transform it from mundane to enchanting.

For starters, you can pretend you’re guiding your child through a Potions class at Hogwarts! Gather all the ingredients in vials and label them with names of magical ingredients and potions. Your beef stock can be Skele-Gro, and a handful of spinach can be labelled as Knotgrass.

Your kids can throw the ingredients into the cauldron (in the right order of course), and you’ll have a tasty potion ready and waiting. And along the way, they learn key cooking skills, practice their magic and have a whole lot of fun.

Make tidying an enchanting endeavor

Cleaning their room can be a drag for kids – but what if you turn it into a magical quest?

Transport them away from the everyday and into the hallowed halls of Hogwarts. They can pretend that instead of clearing out the clutter around their room, they are looking around The Great Hall, where every corner hides treasures just waiting to be discovered. Hide little surprises around their room for them to find – maybe a book lying on the floor contains the Marauder’s Map, or there’s a magical trinket such as a Time-Turner™ stashed in a discarded clothes pile on their floor. And only by tidying up and putting everything away will they be able to find them all.

And luckily for them, their room is probably not the size of The Great Hall, so the task will be a lot more manageable.

Are you ready to make the mundane magical?

Bringing a bit of witchcraft and wizardry into everyday tasks is the perfect way to make even the most ordinary moments enchanting.

From Herbology lessons in the garden to potion-making in the kitchen, creating magical chore games is more than a chance to learn new skills – it becomes a chance to play too. Imagine if tidying up could be as exciting as exploring The Great Hall!

And with a pinch of creativity and a spoonful of magic from the LEGO Harry Potter universe, every day can feel like a magical adventure.
