Split-screen is now available in LEGO® Fortnite® on PlayStation® and Xbox consoles
LEGO Fortnite is constantly evolving with a steady stream of content updates like Lost Isles and the addition of the Battle Bus and fast travel enhancing the game’s worlds and challenges. The game continues to expand with the recent introduction of a split-screen feature that allows two players to enjoy the same game on the same TV, sharing their passions together in a social environment.
In this guide, we’ll explain LEGO Fortnite’s new split-screen feature and show you how to play with someone else at the same time in the same place on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S console.
What is LEGO Fortnite split-screen?
Split-screen is a way for two players to play LEGO Fortnite in the same physical and digital space at the same time. It adds a new way to enjoy the game, letting players create new fun memories playing with friends side by side on the same couch.
Players can hold their own controllers and determine the destiny of their own character together. They can cooperate to build structures, set out on adventures to explore their vast worlds, and even team up to take on enemies – all in front of the same TV. For parents, it's a great opportunity to share and contribute to their children’s passion for gaming with LEGO Fortnite, enjoying cozy and fun time playing together.
The shared experience is effectively limitless, and you determine the kind of world that you’d like to play in. One player could hop into an existing world, and the other can show you around. Or you could create a new world that you share and play in together. In Survival Mode, you can work together to brave and survive the elements. In Sandbox Mode, you can build whatever you can imagine with endless LEGO bricks. Setting your world to Cozy or Expert offers variations on those original two modes — the former with a more guided experience and the latter a more challenging one. Whatever you play is up to you!

And when they do, they’ll have access to their Outfits, Passes, Quests and other Fortnite progress. You can learn more about linking accounts in our guide to Playing with Friends in LEGO Fortnite.
