Steps

  • Step 1

    Choose your LEGO® bricks

All the best projects begin with a plan, so choose your bricks before you start. That way, you can decide on your color scheme, and you’ll know if you have enough LEGO® bricks to finish your snowman design.

Top tip:Just because real snowmen are white, that doesn’t mean you have to stick with tradition. If you want to make a pink, blue or orange snowman, then go ahead! Remember, you can also get creative with your buttons – they don’t have to be round!

  • Step 2

    Let’s go!

Your LEGO® snowman can be as big or as small as you like. You can make him short and stocky or tall and thin – whatever you think looks best. Just don’t forget to make room for his three shiny buttons.

Top tip:If you have some sticky tape, you could decorate your finished snowman with cotton buds to make him look more like a real snowman.

  • Step 3

    Add your three buttons

Round LEGO® studs may work best for the buttons, but you can use whatever you like. Whether you’re using small LEGO bricks for the buttons, sticking on sequins or going all out with real buttons, don’t forget to add them to your snowman’s tummy to complete his look!

  • Step 4

    Take some snowman snaps

Once your LEGO® snowman with his three shiny buttons is finished, make sure you ask a grown-up to help you take pictures of him. You can even put him on the holiday tree as an extra decoration!

Top tip:If you print off some of your pictures, you can use them to make unique holiday cards for your friends and family.

Let’s talk!

Once you’ve finished building your snowman, you could have a chat about your favorite things to do when it snows. You can even check the weather forecast together to see if it might snow soon!
