Everyone knows that your sets deserve to see the spotlight! Just like framing your favorite photos, your builds can be a reminder of a cozy family night in, constructing with a hot chocolate or a summer holiday activity that brought the whole family together.

Display tips for peek-a-boo builds

It’s no secret that sets come in all shapes and sizes, from the mini to the MEGA. Sometimes the most detailed builds and the ones that families love most can be the smallest, and it can be tons easier to find space for these miniature works of family art. They’re easy to move, never fixed, and can be rearranged to showcase your new creations.

For smaller, intricate builds, find random nooks and crannies that aren’t being used, and display your family creations with pride! It could be as simple as a Red Fox (31154) peeking out from behind a houseplant or turning NINJAGO® dragons (71793) into bookends. You could even line some floating shelves with baseplates to fix your builds in place and move creations around with ease.

For bonus creativity points and space saving, you could mount smaller builds to the wall or ceiling! There’s no way the pets can pounce on the Insect Collection (21342) if it’s safely strapped to the rafters…

Big family builds need BIG creativity

Toys, games, books, schoolbags… it can be hard to find space in the house for day-to-day items, let alone your giant family builds! This is the perfect opportunity for you to get creative together and work with the space you’ve got to make your projects pop.

Traditional glass showcases can be expensive and aren’t the best surfaces for mucky paws – no one wants to be getting the wipes out after every little face and hand gets pressed up against the glass.

So, for bigger builds, you could look at converting a cupboard or linen closet to display your creations or look to more space saving options with a corner shelf unit tucked in wherever you can find space. Just make sure every visitor can marvel at your work!

Get your build from its good side

Angles are all important when it comes to showcasing! Just like taking the perfect selfie and snapping your best angle – the position of your builds is super important to get the best view.

With many LEGO sets creating a miniature world that kids (and adults) want to jump into, looking into these creations from above gives the perfect view to admire your family’s handiwork. On the flip side, some models can be appreciated from a 45-degree angle like planes and spaceships that appear to be zooming into flight!

Want to photograph your build? Remember – Sunset isn’t something reserved just for your cutest family snaps. Lighting is key! Lit from below or from creative angles can create a dramatic presentation and fun shadows for extra pizzazz. Or turn to spotlights to highlight special details or your favorite elements of a build.

Bring out your inner interior designer

With building seemingly happening in every single room in your home, it can be a nice idea to match your sets to your room décor.
