With her background in urban education policy and experience working in classrooms, Alysha brings a unique perspective to her role as an Account Manager. It’s also proved to be the ideal way to explore a passion she shares with us: bringing equity and excellence to education.
"My goal is to empower educators to be successful in the classroom. I work with them to develop plans, build confidence, and ensure that LEGO® Education sets are appropriate for their students' learning needs. I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to participate and succeed in STEM, regardless of their background or learning style."
Alysha's passion for education and social-emotional learning drives her work at LEGO Education.
"I've seen first-hand how LEGO Education solutions can engage students and promote positive behaviour. I'm particularly proud of the fact that our products can reach students who may struggle in traditional learning environments."
A creative and consultative approach to her work, Alysha believes, is crucial to her success. This enables her to work closely with educators and understand their unique needs and challenges.
“Tailored solutions are what’s needed here. That’s why I'm always looking for new and innovative ways to use our products. When a customer asks a question I don't have an answer to, it often leads to new discoveries and even more creative applications. With this in mind, it helps that our products have a 'low floor, high ceiling,' so they can be used in a variety of ways to meet the needs of diverse learners."
Alysha is also passionate about professional development for educators. To this end, she leads workshops where teachers can learn how to effectively implement LEGO Education solutions in their classrooms.
"I love seeing the excitement and enthusiasm that teachers bring to these workshops. It's a reminder of the power of collaboration and the importance of lifelong learning.
"My role is not simply about selling products; it's about building relationships and making a positive impact on the education community. I'm fortunate to work with amazing educators who are dedicated to their students and passionate about their work. That’s so inspiring.
Alysha is also justifiably proud of her contributions to LEGO Education's US DEIB Council:

“As someone who is passionate about creating an inclusive environment, I was thrilled to have been selected as a mentor for the Senior Leader Mentoring program in this year’s cohort. The decision to become a mentor was driven by my commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as I believe that for any organization to thrive, it must embrace a wide array of perspectives and experiences. The Senior Leader Mentoring program at LEGO Group offers an innovative approach to fostering inclusivity by having senior leaders as mentees and employees from underrepresented groups as mentors. This opportunity means the world to me as it allows me to contribute to shaping a workplace where every voice is heard and valued. By sharing my experiences and insights, I aim to help senior leaders understand the challenges and opportunities faced by underrepresented groups, ultimately driving meaningful change.”

“I feel that I’ve grown a great deal during my time here. Not least because I’ve developed a deeper understanding of the power of playful learning. When I first started, my role was more transactional. Now, I’m able to be much more consultative. I'm able to leverage my expertise to help educators achieve their goals and create more engaging and impactful learning experiences for their students."
