A single A4 page poster (submitted as PDF) communicating why you think you are a good fit for the role. You can design this however you like using images, words, inventions, colors, etc.
Internship Eligibility:
Currently studying a degree in Interaction Design, UX, Computer Science, Game Design, or related design fields.
Free to start the internship in February 2025. Internship Dates: 3rd February 2025 – 28th June 2025.
This role is part-time, 3 days/week on site at our London office and for a period of 6 months.
Speak English to a proficient level.
Experience with at least some of the following:
Coding in C#, C++, Python, JavaScript or similar languages.
Prototyping in Unity or Unreal Engine.
Tools for interactive experiences (Sound Design, Mixed Reality, Emerging Technologies, etc.).
Building prototypes in short timeframes.
Creating playful experiences.
Designing for kids.

Core Responsibilities
In this internship you will...
Push the boundaries of play by imagining new universes, creating compelling characters and constructing new prototypes to bring concepts to life.
Research innovative technologies, materials and toys to discover new possibilities within physical and digital play.
Explore new play opportunities by testing physical / digital prototypes to gather feedback and iterate on ideas.
Collaborate with a team of experienced designers, developers, engineers, artists and researchers to drive our innovation missions forward.

Creative Play Lab (CPL) is at the heart of new product innovations at the LEGO Group. We experiment with emerging technologies, tinker with new tools, band together with new brands and integrate new inventions into the LEGO system of play to create the toys of tomorrow’s world.
As an intern in the Play Invention Digital team, you will specialize in digital-physical play. Our mission is to explore, innovate, and bridge the realms of physical play, software, and digital technology to create experiences that surprise and delight kids all around the world. We are a multidisciplinary team of adventurous designers, makers, and hackers. We have a thinking by making philosophy - designing and building digital-physical play experiences for kids across multiple modalities including haptic, visual, auditory, gestural, and spatial.

Is interested in designing playful experiences for kids with a test-driven development approach.
