Responsible Sourcing

We arrange regular third-party audits of our suppliers’ performance and work together with them to address improvement areas. Audits take place annually in high-risk countries, bi-annually in medium-risk countries and periodically in low-risk countries.

We are a member of the ICTI Ethical Toy program (IETP) and an affiliate member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), supporting industry collaboration to address common challenges and reduce audit fatigue.

While we accept IETP and RBA audit reports as a means of evaluating supplier compliance, we also apply our own standard and requirements, and conduct our own visits and monitoring of supplier performance.

As affiliate members of the RBA, we also commit to progressively aligning our own operations with the provisions of the RBA Code of Conduct. We will collaborate with RBA members and suppliers through working groups and multi-stakeholder initiatives to improve working and environmental conditions and business performance through leading standards and practices.

We have a responsibility to protect workers and communities in all areas of our value chain including, but not limited to: our own factories, our direct and indirect suppliers and our licensing partners. We hold the highest standards in our internal operations and expect this to be replicated by our partners and suppliers. In 2023, our assessment and verification processes found no forms of modern slavery, forced labor or child labor in either our own operations or our supply chain.

We published our Modern Slavery & Transparency Statement for 2023 in accordance with the requirements of the UK Modern Slavery Act (2015), the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act (2010), Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act (2018) for Australia, the Transparency Act Norway (2022) and Canada's Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (2023).

We are working with a number of licensing partners and have a strong focus on product quality and safety. The risks workers face are similar risks to those of our suppliers. Mitigations include a close collaboration with our licensing partners who work with their suppliers to minimize risks. We monitor compliance to our Responsible Business Principles through third-party audits and follow-up.
