LEGO Australia transforms Pitt St Mall into ‘Play Street Mall’
Sydney, Australia: On Thursday, 12th October, LEGO Australia will host its second annual World Play Day – a day dedicated to celebrating the benefits and joy that play brings, and encouraging families around the world to take a moment to play.
With new local research from the LEGO Group finding that children are spending just 2% of their week (equivalent to 7 hours) playing, the brand is sharing its biggest invitation to play yet.
World Play Day presents a unique opportunity to bring people of all ages together using the superpower of play to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. To mark the occasion, LEGO Australia is doing just that by transforming Pitt Street Mall into ‘Play Street Mall’ in partnership with the City of Sydney.
Featuring larger than life LEGO play elements, Pitt Street Mall will become a life sized playground, allowing people to flex their play superpower. ‘Play Street Mall’ will disrupt the norm and awaken the fun in everyone with childhood favourites such as hopscotch to ping pong tables and more. ‘Play Street Mall’ will be free to attend from 12th - 14th October.
