Job Description

We are looking to hire a Data Engineer be part of team Industry 4.0 and a new Manufacturing Data Engineering team supporting manufacturing in becoming even more data driven than today.

Location can be in Nyíregyháza, Hungary. Please note you will be based onsite in Nyíregyháza and follow our Global Best of Both guideline.

There is also NO relocation budget for this position. Candidates with more experience will be considered for Senior Data Engineer.

Core Responsibilities

Your core responsibility will be to ensure the seamless availability and integration of data within our Data Platform. This involves specific tasks such as transitioning data from the bronze to the golden layer, contributing significantly to the integration and implementation of Manufacturing Data Engineering Deliveries. You will design, build, and automate robust and scalable data ETL processes, manage machine learning models, and develop data API services to support our operations. Your role is inherently collaborative, requiring you to work closely with a global, cross-functional team. Your ability to engage with product owners and stakeholders to devise the best technical solutions will be crucial in achieving our objectives. Your work will enable us to leverage data more effectively, driving improvements across our manufacturing processes and beyond!

Industry 4.0 is part of Operation Transformation, which has the purpose of “stimulating” a shared E2E Innovation focus and by that enabling our Operation Aspirations. Operation Transformation functions as a network organization with teams of specialists interacting with relevant departments and functional areas within the LEGO organization as well as with external partners such as suppliers, universities, industry partners, technical institutes.

Do you have what it takes?

You have relevant background from Computer Science, Data Science or similar with passion for data as well demonstrable data engineering experience using Python, SQL, Databricks or similar. With min. Data Engineer, you have exposure:

  • Working with Cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure and/or similar applications.

  • Creating, maintaining and automating ETL pipelines in a manufacturing environment.

  • Co-creating and enabling data for our data consumers.

Nice to have:

  • Already working with established network and forums and by that have easy access to knowledge and sparring.

  • Experience with SAP Business Warehouse or Power BI Dataflow.

  • Agile mentality, delivering customer value in iterations.
