Job Description

Are you passionate about creating robust, scalable solutions and eager to work in a dynamic, fun, and collaborative environment? We are looking for a versatile Backend Engineer to help us build and maintain greenfield applications for our Supply Chain area.

No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Core responsibilities

  • As a Backend Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the team and partners to implement new features and improve existing solutions.
  • Foster a safe collaborative environment where we can be fun, creative, and succeed together.
  • Develop, operate, and maintain robust and scalable solutions – focusing on incremental value while applying a “you build it, you run it” philosophy.
  • Maintain consistently high software engineering quality, engineering practices, and technical excellence while balancing these with pragmatism and value focus.
  • Help deliver on product vision and roadmap by taking an active part in the discovery work. Nurture relationships with other teams and break down work into epics and tasks.

We are a diverse team of Software Engineers who build and run greenfield applications for the supply chain in the LEGO Group. We work together as a team practicing agile ceremonies, pair programming, mob programming, and shared reviews while trying to balance it with freedom and creativity for the individual software engineer.

Do you have what it takes?

  • You have experience building and maintaining applications using modern technologies and are a standout colleague who values collaboration.
  • You’re an excellent problem solver who is not fixed on technology but looks at how to craft the best solution and learn fast through iterations and experimentation.
  • You have experience with a strongly typed programming language such as Go, .Net, or similar.
  • You have experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and one or more Cloud Providers (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)

In addition, it would be an advantage if you also have:

  • Golang, AWS, NoSQL databases, SQL databases, and Kubernetes.
  • E-commerce and distributed order management systems.
  • Experience monitoring and alerting preferably with the ELK stack.
  • Event-driven architecture and microservices.
